KH3 (PS4/XboxOne) Release Date – TBD 2018

If there is one thing to know about me, it is that the KH series is my favorite video game series of all time. With over ten years since KH2 was released, I’d say many fans are hungry for this KH3. Sora and Riku will continue their quest to become Keyblade masters and fight to united the 7 light warriors to defeat Xehonort and his 13 darknesses. It’s speculated that new Kingdom Hearts 3 information, including an official release date, will be announced in February or April. I know I am ready to jump back into the world of Disney and Square Enix as soon as possible!

Release Date – TBD 2018

If there’s one game that I replay the most, it’s The World Ends With You. Set in Shibuya’s metaverse call the Underground, the main character Neku must pair up with his Partner and play through missions to make it to the goal by the end of 7 days. You fight through the snarky humans with black wings called reapers, monsters called noise, and your own self doubts, all while keeping up with latest styles of Shibuya fashion. With TWEWY making its console debut on the Nintendo Switch, it will be interesting to see how the game mechanics which incorporated the use of the dual screens on the original DS version will be translated to the Switch. TWEWY offers a fantastic hip-hop/electronic/shibuya-kei soundtrack, a unique and original storyline that will keep first time players guessing until the end, and a plethora of fashion labels to keep veteran players forever addicted to accessorizing.

Release Date – Summer 2018

Despite my known dislike of playing horror games, this psycho-thriller, adventure horror game seems so screwed up, I’ve been following all updates. Compulsion Games’ new release, We Happy Few, is described as, “A game of paranoia and survival, in a drugged-out, dystopian English city in 1964.” If that’s not enough to get you interested, maybe running from crazy masked British police trying to force feed your happy pills hallucinogens will. You must navigate your town and avoid taking your “joy” pills while battling the loud violence that is reality and social oppression. Watch the first fifteen minutes on IGN to and see if you scream at the piñata part like I did!

spidey logoSpiderman (PS4) Release Date – TBD 2018

Insomniac’s new Spiderman game, announced at 2017’s D23 Disney Expo, will feature an original new storyline that is surprisingly NOT ANOTHER ORIGIN STORY!!! This will feature our hero as a seasoned player to the web-slinging game. This adult Peter Parker with Parkour with you through the open-world setting of New York City as you try to fight villains and balance work-home life. Sounds like most video gamers! This game is bound to be a hit for new and old Spidey fans. So remember – with great video games, comes great time management!

  1. I’m with you on We Happy Few – I can’t wait for this one! I love the dystopian vibe. I’ve tried to steer clear from as many videos as possible and haven’t made an early access purchase, so I can experience it in full when it’s finally released. 🙂

      1. Detroit: Become Human has been on my list since getting a chance to play a demo last year. But with all the controversy surrounding it and Quantic Dream lately (if the allegations are true then it really is terrible), I’m not sure that’s the best choice…

There’s also Praey for the Gods. I backed the Kickstarter in 2016 so I’ve been waiting a long time! 😉
